Guado al Tasso 1997 - Marchesi Antinori

Tasting notes

"Deep crimson but with a clear rim. Smells definitively Tuscan rather than anything like Bordeaux. Ripe and dense but with a vegy overlay. Prune flavours; if someone told me this had Sangiovese in it I wouldn’t be surprised (my reaction, admittedly, when I have tasted Antinori’s Col Solare in Washington state). Chewy and very dry. Very competent but not especially charming. "
