Richebourg 1973 - domaine Jean Gros

Tasting notes

Richebourg is one of the nine grand crus produced in the commune of Vosne-Romanée. Jean Gros's Richebourg is an truly fine achievement. It is a complete wine, slightly smooth on the palate and very clean. It has impressive volume on the palate when young, and will need a few years to soften.

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Côtes de Nuits connoisseurs will tell you that the name Gros covers several different domains. The original Louis Gros domain was divided up between his three children, which resulted in the Gros Frère et Soeur, François Gros and Jean Gros domains at the beginning of the 1970s.

In 1995 Jean Gros retired and shared his domain between his three children: Michel, Anne-Françoise (François Parent's wife, the owner of the Domaine AF Gros at Pommard), and Bernard Gros (manager of the Gros Frère et Soeur domain).
