FA 112 1997 - Mas igneus

Tasting notes

"The expensive 1997 FA 112 (aged for 12 months in new French Allier oak) is a 67.5% Garnacha, 16 % Syrah, 9% Carinena, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2.5% Merlot blend. This wine reveals a Chateauneuf du Pape-like kirsch and peppery-scented nose, medium body, obvious new oak, good ripeness and fleshiness, and a medium to full-bodied finish. It is a fine wine, but does the quality support the lofty price tag? It should drink well for 3-4 years. "
