INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande – Pauillac, Bordeaux
Feminine elegance of a great Pauillac, blending tradition and modernity.

A historic estate in the heart of Médoc
Classified as a Second Growth in 1855, Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande embodies Pauillac excellence. With a legacy dating back to the 17th century, it has been led by visionary women, including Virginie de Lalande and May-Eliane de Lencquesaing. Since 2007, it has been owned by Louis Roederer, continuing its passionate heritage.

An exceptional terroir
The 89-hectare vineyard lies on deep gravel soils typical of Pauillac, with a unique feature: part of the vines are located in the neighboring commune of Saint-Julien, adding an extra touch of finesse.

Winemaking and aging
Vinification is parcel-based, with fermentation in temperature-controlled wooden and stainless steel vats. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, about 60% of which are new, imparting complexity and harmony.

Wine style
Pichon Comtesse stands out for its elegance, silky structure, and aromatic depth. Aromas of blackcurrant, violet, cedar, and sweet spices. On the palate, a velvety texture, fine tannins, and a long, persistent finish.
