Château Giscours 1973

Tasting notes

"Lean, full of acid but an enormous amount gorgeously sweet, not overripe, not cooked, not over-mature red fruit in the core. The nose is very tertiary, with sanguine notes melded with rusty iron, autumn leaves and dry flowers. Tannins are fully resolved on the mid-palate. The texture is almost that of aged Burgundy. Finishes long and slightly dusty. Amazing bottle."
