"The 2011 Pape Clement,(...) was aged 18 months in new French oak before being bottled unfiltered. Absolutely profound, with a complex bouquet of mulberries, black cherries, black currants, graphite and subtle smoke and burning ember-like aromas, this is a true super-star of the vintage. It represents a remarkable achievement by the winemaking team of Bernard Magrez. Full-bodied, rich and multidimensional, this wine clearly transcends the entire vintage. (...)"

Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest of all growths in Bordeaux. It can pride itself on producing wine on the same estate for 7 centuries.

From 1959 on, Château Pape Clément belongs to the restricted but official circle of Grands Crus Classés in Graves.

The second wine of this vineyards, named Clémentin du Pape Clément, depending on the vintages, is about one third of the entire crop.

Production : 80'000 bottles ;

Surface : 30 ha ;

Wine variety : 60% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot;

Best vintages : 2012, 2010, 2005, 2000.
