"(...) Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it gives notes of kirsch, black raspberries and black plums with touches of cassis, violets, chocolate box and pencil shavings. The palate is medium-bodied, firm, grainy and lively with loads of layers and a long, well-poised finish. (...)"

Château les Carmes-Haut-Brion is situated like its neighbors, Châteaux Haut Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, on the famous Graves plateau on the outskirts of Bordeaux to the south-west in Pessac.

The vineyard covers 4.7 hectares and is enclosed by high walls. Well sheltered, the vines enjoy good insulation and excellent drainage.

Production : 21’600 bottles ;

Surface : 4 ha ;

Wine variety : 10% cabernet sauvignon, 50 % merlot, 40% cabernet franc;

Best vintages : 2012, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2000, 1990, 1986.
