Tasting notes

Dark red, attractive robe. This has an elegantly concentrated nose, gives airs of smoky black berries, has a light floral “powdering”; this bouquet has good shape and potential. The palate bears concentrated depth of berry fruit, with evident tannins leaving a dentelle, toothsome crunch as it finishes. It is all well rolled up together, and has iron from its origins present.

Gangloff was fortunate to acquire a few precious hectares of Condrieu and Côte Rôtie vines in the late 1990s. 

The Sereine Noire cuvée (which uniquely includes the local Syrah clone, Serine) is darker and more robust; it is sourced from the Le Mollard (Côte Blonde region) and Côte-Rozier (Côte Brune region) parcels.
