"Just above La Chatenière. Very calcareous. Tank sample.
A little more obvious oak here in spice and cedar but not intrusive. Really intense fruit, more green fruits than citrus. Tight and coiled but generous in fruit. Not as long as some but all in balance.

Pierre-Yves Colin, the former winemaker at his father’s Domaine Marc Colin until 2005, founded his own estate with a focus on small quantities of the finest wines he could acquire. Initially a micro-negotiant, Pierre-Yves has since grown his domaine with the help of family holdings to include 70% estate-owned plots and 30% purchased grapes.

The Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey now spans 6 hectares, producing approximately 70,000 bottles annually from the Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Santenay appellations. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship, the estate produces elegant, balanced wines that showcase the richness of Burgundy’s terroirs. These wines are perfect for pairing with refined dishes and have excellent aging potential.
