Chablis Vieilles Vignes 2018 - Bessin-Tremblay

Tasting notes

This wine far exceeds what one would expect from a village-level cuvée. It comes from vines averaging over 40 years old, planted on the slopes facing Fourchaume. In 2019, Jean-Claude uprooted 1.40 hectares of these old vines, reducing the volume by a third. As a result, this will be the last time we see this cuvée in such quantity for several years. Fresh, citrusy, and elegant, it also boasts the briny depth of oyster shell so characteristic of Chablis. A superb example of the appellation.
