"Dense. Green fruits and marzipan on the nose, very tense and muscular with apparently elevated acidity but awfully youthful. It’s thrashing about like a restless foetus. Get me out of here, it seems to be saying! Still very sleek muscles and just developing. Lots of green on the finish."

Pierre-Yves Colin, the former winemaker at his father’s Domaine Marc Colin until 2005, founded his own estate with a focus on small quantities of the finest wines he could acquire. Initially a micro-negotiant, Pierre-Yves has since grown his domaine with the help of family holdings to include 70% estate-owned plots and 30% purchased grapes.

The Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey now spans 6 hectares, producing approximately 70,000 bottles annually from the Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Santenay appellations. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship, the estate produces elegant, balanced wines that showcase the richness of Burgundy’s terroirs. These wines are perfect for pairing with refined dishes and have excellent aging potential.
