Visually, the Trévallon 1998 displays a deep color with garnet reflections. The nose is powerful, revealing aromas of ripe black fruits, leather, blond tobacco, and undergrowth, with spicy nuances reminiscent of pepper and porcini mushrooms. On the palate, the attack is smooth, evolving into a well-integrated tannic structure. Established in 1973 by Éloi Dürrbach near Saint-Étienne-du-Grès, Domaine de Trévallon is today considered a cult wine from Provence. Known for its unique blends and exceptional terroir in the Alpilles region, Trévallon wines are highly sought-after by collectors and wine enthusiasts.
The Trévallon Rouge, made from 50% Syrah and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, stands out due to its remarkable balance, combining Mediterranean intensity with Bordeaux-style elegance. Its limited production (~45,000 bottles per year) makes it a rare and coveted wine on the secondary market.
