Maison Valette – Mâconnais, Burgundy Living, natural Chardonnays from one of the pioneers of no-added-sulphur winemaking in Burgundy.

A benchmark for natural wine lovers Located in Chaintré, on the southern edge of Burgundy, Maison Valette farms 15 hectares of Chardonnay organically, though without formal certification — a deliberate choice grounded in philosophy, not marketing.

Since 1992, Philippe Valette, along with his brother Baptiste and wife Cécile, has pursued a pure, uncompromising approach: no additives, no filtration, no shortcuts. Just time, patience, and trust in nature.

Vineyard & cellar work Soils are a mix of clay-limestone and siliceous stone. Grapes are harvested by hand at full maturity, pressed whole-cluster, and fermented spontaneously with native yeasts. No added sulphur during vinification. Wines are aged 2 to 3 years on fine lees, unfined and unfiltered.

Mâcon-Villages Clean, mineral, vibrant. A pure introduction to the Valette style.

Pouilly-Fuissé "Tradition" Saline, structured, and gastronomic. Complex and alive on the palate.

Viré-Clessé "Et pourtant..." Powerful and textured. Yellow fruits, white flowers, stone minerality. Long and lively.

Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Reyssié Rare cuvée. Deep, concentrated Chardonnay aged with precision. Serious structure and great cellaring potential.
