The House was founded in 1837 by Swiss native, Henri-Marc de Venoge. The de Venoge family can actually trace its roots back to 15th century Switzerland, to where the Venoge river flows into Lake Geneva.
Since 1998, the House has joined the Champagne group, Boizel Chanoine Champagne.
