Le Domaine de la Grange des Pères

The Domaine de la Grange des Pères, led by the engaging and modest Laurent Vaillé, is one of the standout producers of the Languedoc region. Situated on the stony, south-facing slopes of the Vale of Gassac, the vineyard spans 11 hectares. Laurent, son of a cereal farmer, planted his first vines in 1982, and his wines quickly gained recognition for their exceptional quality. The first vintage, produced from very low yields of young vines, amazed and delighted all who tasted it.

Each year, only two cuvées are crafted: a complex red made from Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Counoise, and a fresh, aromatic white made from Roussanne, Marsanne, Chardonnay, and Gros Manseng. The natural winemaking methods and low yields result in wines of great purity, richness, and complexity.
