La Pèira en Damaisèla

La Pèira en Damaisèla, created in 2004 by Australian composer Rob Dougan and his partner Karine Ahton, has quickly become one of the benchmark producers in the Languedoc region and, in the eyes of many critics, one of the top estates in all of France. Situated in the Sainte-Brigitte sector of the Terrasses du Larzac, the estate spans around 10 hectares, where biodynamic farming practices are employed to preserve the health of the soils and biodiversity.

The estate produces exceptional wines from a variety of local and international grape varieties, including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Carignan, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Clairette blanche. These wines are known for their complexity, depth, and incredible aging potential, often compared to the quality of Bordeaux's first growths and Burgundy's Grand Cru wines.

The flagship wines include:

• La Pèira: A blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, which showcases the estate's ability to create powerful yet elegant wines.
• Las Flors de la Pèira: A more accessible second wine, crafted from the same varieties but with a slightly lighter profile.
• Deusyls de la Pèira: A white wine made from Viognier and Roussanne, known for its aromatic richness and freshness.

With limited production, La Pèira en Damaisèla produces around 500 cases of La Pèira, 700 cases of Las Flors de la Pèira, and 300 cases of Deusyls de la Pèira, ensuring a focus on quality at every step of production. The estate has garnered significant acclaim for its outstanding wines, which truly express the unique terroir of the Languedoc.
