Domaine Jacques-Frederic Mugnier

The Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, established in 1863 at the Château de Chambolle-Musigny, has been a cornerstone of Burgundy’s winemaking heritage for generations. The estate has remained in the Mugnier family since its inception, producing wines that embody the essence of Chambolle-Musigny. In 2004, the domain expanded further with the acquisition of the Clos de la Maréchale in Nuits-Saint-Georges, a vineyard previously leased to Faiveley since 1950. Additionally, the estate is the second-largest owner of the prestigious Musigny vineyard.

Renowned for its exceptional wines, the Domaine Mugnier is celebrated for the purity, finesse, and complexity of its offerings. The range includes notable wines such as the Musigny Grand Cru and Premiers Crus like Les Amoureuses and Les Fuées, all crafted from vines that benefit from the region’s unique terroir. The wines are known for their refined aromas of red fruits, spices, and underbrush, with a silky texture and remarkable aging potential.

The wines from Domaine Mugnier stand out for their perfect balance and elegance, showcasing the full richness of their terroir. Ideal for pairing with refined dishes such as game, red meats, and aged cheeses, these wines are also a prized addition for collectors seeking rare bottles with great aging potential.
