Gevrey-Chambertin – a village in Burgundy's Cote de Nuits district – produces some of the world's most prestigious and expensive red wines.
The village is home to nine Grand Cru vineyards: Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze, Chapelle-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin.
Among the most respected producers of Gevrey-Chambertin wines are Domaine Armand Rousseau, Domaine Fourrier, Domaine Leroy and Domaine Trapet Pere et Fils.
Vougeot is a tiny village, wedged between Vosne-Romanee and Chambolle-Musigny, is home to four Premier Cru sites and one of Burgundy's largest Grand Cru vineyards, the Clos de Vougeot.
