A truly great year, a wonderful vintage in Bordeaux. The reds are full-bodied, roasted, savoury, fat and aromatic. Great wines ! The whites are very successful, sappy, balanced and stylish sweet wines rich in alcohol and sugars. Very good bottles !

In his "the great vintage wine book, Michael Broadbent reported that a ferocious cyclone hit the Côte de Beaune in late June, further reducing the crop to one-sixteeth of the size anticipated. These extremely minuscule quantities, together with the hot weather, produced highly concentrated wines.
