  1990

  In bordeaux the reds wines have a very good tannic structure, lovely sugar/acid balance and high natural degrees. The dry whites are armomatic, fat and persistent. The Sweet wines are made from extraordinarily rich musts, they reveal complex aromas of citrus fruit as well as the roasted character that distinguishes those vintages worthy of the Gods.

  1996

  In Bordeaux, another great vintage thanks to an exceptionally good weather. Overall, the Merlots and Cabernets presented extraordinary potentiel. The wines are dense, but balanced, with the required qualities for long-term cellaring.

  In Australia, the vintage 1996 is a fine year in which the wines are beginning to peak.

  2003

  In Bordeaux, the vintage 2003 is one of the most irregular vintage. Indeed, there are several dozen of remarquably great wines that will be considered legendary for the next 50 to 60 years, but inconsistency is the rule. The less sucessuful wines are in Pomerol and they need to be consumed in their first 15 years. Sauternes enjoyed another fine vintage but below the vintage 2001.

  2001

  In Bordeaux, some consider the vintage 2001, as the produce of a cold vintage, and, therefore, slow to mature and classical in style but some other compare the left bank with their very good 1986 counterparts.

  In the sweet wine-producing areas, the light September and October rains favoured the onset of noble rot on ripe grapes, which hence produced pure and fruity wines, endowed with optimal acidity.

  Extraordinary wines: Harlan Estate 2001, Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve 2001, Château d'Yquem 2001, Monte Bello Ridge 2001, Verite La Muse 2001.

  2006

  In Bordeaux, 2006 is a tannic, structured vintage that will require considerable aging. However, unlike the vintages 1986 and 1996, the 2006 Médocs will be more approchable in  their youth.

  The Pomerol and the Graves are the best regions in Bordeaux in 2006.

  2006 is a superb vintage for the northern Rhone's white wines (Hermitage).

  2000

  In Bordeaux, the red wines present immense potential and should be included in the list of greatest Bordeaux vintages. They are all at one dark-coloured, powerful, generous, robust and remarkably balanced.
