Nicolas Barbou

It’s none other than Nicolas Barbou, the son of Dominique and Véronique Barbou, owners of Domaine des Corbillières in Touraine. After training under Jean-Yves Bizot until 2021 (who greatly influenced his winemaking style), Nicolas traveled to New Zealand to gain experience before returning to his home region in Touraine, Loire Valley, to start his own vineyard.

Artist or winemaker? Nicolas' vision is to craft wines that evoke deep emotions from a range of grape varieties such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin, Gamay, and even Pinot Noir. His first cuvée, Utopie Créative, set the tone for the rest of his range, both captivating and bold. His decisions in the vineyard and the winery are meticulous, highlighting the talent of this highly skilled winemaker who is just at the beginning of his journey. Definitely one to watch closely!"
