Mazoyères-Chambertin

Although it is the largest in terms of area among the nine Grand Cru vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin is also one of the hardest to find. Legislation allows producers to use the name of the neighboring Charmes-Chambertin appellation, making Mazoyères-Chambertin rarer and less visible on the market.

Wines from this Grand Cru are renowned for their exceptional balance. They offer a complex aromatic profile with notes of tobacco, spices, and ripe dark fruits, while maintaining a refreshing quality. These wines have a solid yet well-integrated tannic structure, allowing them to mature beautifully over time. Thanks to their unique characteristics, Mazoyères-Chambertin wines pair perfectly with roasted, grilled, or sauced red meats, as well as game dishes.
